Default Cannon GL2 or Panasonic or HDC-SX5 HD video camera?

Which would be the best to use? The Panasonic is lighter and smaller and is HD.

What is your purpose with the camera? Some HD takes special editing equipment.

Well video quality of HD is better than the GL2 but you can take better footage in the woods with the GL, it has manual focus, better audio and so on if money is not a problem go with a GL

If you plan on shooting footage for resale the GL2 is the minimum camera I would recommend...........If it is for your personal use, get the less expensive consumer camera, although I personally would not go for HD yet as was mentioned earlier you will need editing software that can handle hd footage unless you shoot in SD mode, which would esentially be a waste of $$$ buying the HD model.
