Default Bogen 501 or 701

I'm debating on the two. I'll be running a XH A1 with all the goods onboard. Approximate weight is around 8 lbs. Which head do you recommend? The 501 is $60 more but what are it's main advantages?

I'm using a Sony HDR-FX1 and have the 701head. The 501 is very similar but is a little bigger andcan support a heavier camera. My camera topped out is around 7-8 pounds and the 701 works well for me.

titleist_03, I have a XH-A1 also and I have three 501's. I bought them cheap, and they work real well for me. I am sure either will hold our cam's just fine.
