Default Velvet Footage - 14 bucks

This footage was taken Sunday night (7/13) on Maryland's Eastern Shore. Sure was a lot of fun! I have to thank Mike Hutchison for getting me into filming velvet footage. Prior to this I probably would have been out wasting my time trying to catch rockfish! Thanks Mike!

That was AWESOME!!!! Loved watching the little guy at the end trying to "man up" with the bigger one.

What camera do you have....very good imagequality

And last...How far are you from Edgewood/Aberdeen area?

Did you use a doubler on that? The outside edges seemed a little washed out or out of focus. This happens sometimes with a doubler. Other than that, nice footage.

Using a Sony HDR-FX1 This footage was shot using a 2x telephoto lens which came with my kit from B&H. It does give the fuzzy edges but I think the extra zoom is worth it when filming velvet. I wouldn't use it when filming a hunt.

This footage was on the Eastern Shore, near where I live, maybe 1.5 hours from Aberdeen/Edgewood.

Glad you like the footage!

To bad you weren't closer, we could maybe becauseI will be at Aberdeen Proving Grounds next week for training, see lots of big deer in there, but I don't think they allow hunting on base?

We'll we wouldn't be hunting, we'd be filming!
And yes, they do allow hunting on parts of the base, but I don't know the specifics.

I wonder if they'd let me bring my camera on base? I could take some footage of the deer down by the Bay. Are you Noth of Aberdeen?
