Default Canon GL1?

Anyone have or had one of these? Are they a good camera to use for filming hunts? How easy are they to use for a beginner? Any tips you'd recommend on use of this camera?

I had one a long time ago and they are a great camera, not as good in the low light as someof the newer one now. You willbe able to shot some awesome footage with your GL1.. Walt

Chasebaker, what shotgun mic is coming with it? $200 for a used shotgun mic, it better be a good one. [8D] The GL1 is a great camera! Like mentioned before, it is only 1/4" sensors and therefore somewhat limited on extreme low light situations, but past that, it is a great camera. I can't remember if it has 16:9 aspect ratio or not for wide screen format? The big thing on one of these cameras is getting a good used one, they are getting pretty old by now, and possibly alot of hrs. on the heads? So be careful and do your homework on the one you're buying! Good luck!
