Steven,

Here you go. My buddy is a computer wizard and he steered me from my HP to this Dell.

What I did was chose the one for $999 and added more RAM & Hard Drive Space. With QUAD CORE

At the bottom of the link youwill see build your ownPC.

Good Luck

Dude, you got a Dell!
Sorry to hear it though, cause I'm a hardcore Mac user.

I'm a computer geek by profession so here are my thoughts. Everything looks good from a hardware standpoint, but there is a thing or two I would have done differently. First, I would have spread my hardrive space over at least two drives, and most likely 5 so that I could provide RAID or striping for redundancy. Second, the quad core is a little overkill right now because most software isn't capable of taking advantage of it. It's OK, you're ahead of the curve. Third, I love ATI, but NVidia's video cards are kicking their butt right now IMO. It's a good card no doubt.

All in all it is a great machine. The only change I'd consider would be extra hard drives, or an external for backups.

What kind of software are you going to run on it?

I'm going to carry over Pinnacle Studio 11 Plus....It works well with all the patches

Huntingbry
Can you lead me to a better video editting software that is user friendly?
