What are your best DV tapes to use for the best cost? Iam using a Cannon GL2. Iam looking for best quality, colour etc. I heard Sony is the best. Would like your opinions

Default RE: Best DV tapes

Not sure why Sony is the best, but all the tape companies have a wide range of tapes and quality.
I use Panasonic master quality tapes in my dxv and have been happy.
I believe in using high quality tapes, ie not regular consumer tapes.
They're more expensive than going to Walmart to buy tapes.
Two suggestions as far as whatever brand you chose though.
Use the same brand all the time. If you change brands be sure to use a head cleaner before you switch.
Don't use long, like 90 minute tapes. Stick with 60 minutes. The tape in the longer duration tapes is thinner.
