Default stumped,lost audio

For some reason I have lost audio when trying to upload a video to my computer.I can hear it on my video camera but not on my computer when uploading.

There is no sound when it is finished either.I used to have sound and as far as I know,I have changed nothing. It seems to have started when I changed tapes in my camera but not for sure.

My line in say I have sound and all the volume controlls I can find are up and there is no mute button clicked on that I can find.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Could it be the program? my editing program has the thing where the line bounces when there is audio present. maybe try to adjust the audio on your camera too. hope that helps.

Don't think that is it.

I don't have any of the bouncing lines in my program.[&:]I just have microsoft movie maker and the sound is loud and clear when I am downloading from the camera but isn't making it to the computer.

I used to hear the sound coming from my camera as well as my computer speakers but now I just hear it from the camera when downloading.

I know the coputer speakers work because I hear everything else and no one else can hear sounds 0on my downloads on their computers.

I have had a problem with my excell and adobe lately, could that be it?

How are you capturing the video to the computer thru IEEE (firewire) or reg. USB cable? It could be that the usb cable has gone bad or perhaps you changed a capture setting from mini-dv to MPEG that will cause problems when capturing video. Mpeg should be used when trying to import from a DVD as that is the format that DVD is burned in.

What type of camera are you capturing from?
