Default Video camera opinions!

Looking to invest some money into a quality camera that is TV grade quality. What are your recommendations? If you are not actively into filming hunts, please refrain, thanks.

You'll get better low light condition footage w/ the sony pd 170. The Cannon gl2 is not as good but the footage from both in lighted conditions are roughly the same. If you are wanting better and looking to spend over 5K than look at some HD cameras which I don't have enough knowledge of them to guide you there.

You'll spend plenty for a pd 170 once you get eveything you need for it 4-5K I would say.

Good luck

All I can say Is I love my PD170 its the right size and the low light footage is by far superior to anything out there!!
Talltines is right if you want to spend the big bucks then the new HD but I don't now enough about those to guide you either!! Walt

I have a Canon GL2 and XL2 and both are great cameras. I like the xl1for filming deer hunting and Gl2 for fast action filming. GL2 is a lot more compact.
