Default A fawn in the water...

I seen this little guy and his mother on the dirt road just up from my house. As I approached, I seen the mother come up the far side of the bank from a little creekbed. I had my camera ready , but the little guy never came up. So I got out of the truck and looked down in the creekbed and there he was - trying to hide. I only took a couple pics and got right out of there. I didn't want him to stay in the water too long.
I went by the next day and seen him with momma again but couldn't get any pics of them before they bolted in the weeds.

That is neat thanks for sharing!!! It makes me wonder if the fawn is in the water as something that momma taught it. ( I mean to help escape from coyotes )

thats better than your average picture for sure -

I've never seen one curl up in water before - but I've seen that same position many times in hay fields and woods edges in the past. Must be the fawn thought it best to "hide" in the water.

I hope you don't mind I saved your picture to my hard drive - really nice!

Great Picture! You must have been pretty close to get that detailed shot of the little guy.
