Looking for a good picture camera... what do you think?
I am in the market for a good quality digital picture camera. Something that will take "professional" quality pictures (at long and short ranges), but is also affordable. What lens and accessories should I also get, if any?

Thanks Rebel Hog - You got some great shots there yourself.
That link to Monte Loomis shots is great too. He's got some real great turkey shots. Do you know him?
I plan on doing a lot of turkey pics this come spring. I've only had my camera a couple weeks now. Still learning it actually.

No I don't. He posted this in the Turkey Forum and listed the Camera he uses and I thought of the questionthat tbyrdask here, so I thought I'd show him. Again, your Camera is great!

Kelly, I mainly use shutter priority and am always changing it depending on if its cloudy out or sunny, if I know I'm going to be shooting birds in flight and so on. For the above pheasant pics - it was a real sunny day, my shutter speed was set to 1/500 and aperature was 7.1 White balance was set to auto and sharpness to vivid. I think it was that it was just a perfect day lightingwise. On cloudy days I struggle quite a bit, most of the time my pics don't come out near as sharp - probably something I'm doing wrong, as you can tell with the grouse pics in the other thread - they are not at all sharp - it was cloudy and snowy day. Heres some more from a sunny day.
