Default Yep.....one of those what about this camcorder type threads.

I was fortunate to receive a butt pile of Cabela's gift cards and gift certificates this X-mas and was eyeing up one of the camcorders they carry. I don't know a flippin thing about videotaping hunts but wanted something decent with a good optical zoom for some basic hunt recording with buddy out of a stand or ground blind.
Doesn't need to be Drury Outdoors quality, just nice and clear and better than what I'm using now........which is exactly nothing.

Let me know what you guys think of this one.......Cabelas only carries 4 camcorders (at least online) and this one looked the best.

Oh by the way a butt pile is defined as $450 worth.

I would get the sony dcr-hc26, by far the best. I have used the sony in the past good little cameras.

should work fine, but what do i know. i have a camera similar to this and works fine for my needs. id like the big 2000 professional cameras, but dont have the money or experience to need one in the first place. should be a great starter camera.
