Hmmm - It would be fun to get three pheasants in 10 minutes once in a while!

I'm going to be on an extended stay within the next two weeks in Minnesota, in which I hope to do some dove shooting come 9-1, some ruffed grouse hunting when it opens, then all things allowing, getting over to SD for some upland hunting there, as well as IA, NE and maybe ND.
This will be my first time in the "Heartland" and I'm hoping to encounter the famous and fabulous upland hunting I've been reading about and seeing on OLN and what not!
I'd sure could use some directions, help, comaraderie, etc.
I've been hunting since I was a kid, and that's more years than I like to admit to, but, how true it is!
I'm hoping to have my bird dog shipped to me, for sure by the time pheasant opens, which should be around the middle of October, she's an eight year old vet of many a day chasing pheasant, quail, sage grouse, blue grouse, chukarand dove!
I intend on trying huns, sharptails, prairie chickens, ruffed grouse, pheasants, dove, maybe some woodcock, any and all upland birds I can find theirwhereabouts!
I'd appreciate any info, advice or etc. Being a SoCal born and bred hunter, I will be sort of a fish out of water in the vast expanses of your neck of the woods!
I'm doing what research I can off this computer, but, the real deal is what I seek.
I'll be in Minneapolis within a couple of weeks, andI intend on branching out from there to all parts unknown each and every chance I get, I'll do it alone, but, if someone is interested in hooking up, step up to the plate!
