SCI's Game Birds of the World program
Dear All
I am doing some research and would like to pick your thoughts...
Safari Club International resently launched their "Game Birds of the World" awards program where travelling sportsmen and women are recognized for the variety of different game bird species they collect. Basically they are formulating different "slams" and when you have collected a set number of species in the slam, you get recognized for it. E.g. North America has 7 species of quail. You have to collect a minimum of 6 species to be awarded the "Grand Slam North American Quail".
My 2 questions...
Have you heard of this Awards program of SCI?
Would you be: Somewhat; Not at All or Highly interested in obtaining an award / awards that recognize your bird hunting experience.
I am looking forward to your replies and any comments are welcome.

Just another way for rich dudes to pad their egos. I was a member of SCI for years. Didn't care for the way they allowed themselves to be pimped out. Let my membership lapse and don't miss it at all. Dallas Safari Club is a much better organization for conservation.
