Planning fall trip for grouse ?

If you said 2016 I'd be up for it. Boy #2 due any day, so no trips this fall. Next year I might try pheasants and ducks in South Dakota, if I draw a non-resident waterfowl license. If no luck in the draw, maybe I'll just go for pheasants, or maybe try grouse in the Midwest instead.

A buddy of mine used to go to Michigan every year with his setters. Said the timber cutting/re growth was a lot better than here in PA, and always had good success. Stayed at Fay's Motel* in Grayling, MI - nothing fancy but it was dog-friendly. He developed MS about 10 years ago so this isn't recent info, but hope it helps.

Brookville, 20 minutes north of that scandalous rodent Punxsutawney Phil. If you've got a good bird dog I have a camp and 16,000 acres of nearby Game Lands.

Got three pointers , three beagles, I do a lot off upland and rabbit hunting , iam about 2 1/2 hours from you . Iam always up for a trip to go hunting , send me a pm with ur number if ever want to do some small game , do a lot off turkey as well.
