For prime pheasant areas I would tell you to go a 100 or so miles west (South Dakota) depending on where you live.

South Dakota isn't in Wisconsin tho. I don't want to travel through Minnesota either... bcause if I run into Favre I will probably shoot his right arm off.

well it would be between 250 and 500 miles to south dakota depending on where you live. you could just come to iowa and do some awesome bird hunting. I live in the northwest part where the bird population is the highest. we don't have quite the numbers as south dakota, but the hunting is still pretty good.
