Default RE: South Dakota Pheasants

I talked to some people from SD at the Northwest sports show inMinnesota on Saturday. It sounds like the Northern part of SD had a little harder winter. So there was probably a few more birds lost up there, but they assured me that South Dakota will still have plenty of birds. I'll feel even better if the birds have good weather for nesting this spring.

Im in the NE part of the state and we had lots of snow and some very very cold weeks that certainly took its toll on the birds but we also had alot of cover left for them this yearso they faired the long cold spells pretty good. As long as we have a good nesting season and nests dont drown out we will be in fine shape for another awesome year.
