so sd wants to extend the pheasant season to jan 31st. that's almost a month extra. it gives outfitters and guides time to schedue more hunts and gives residents longer to hunt, plus it gives us non-residents to hunt sd after our own state's season ends. it also gives the economy of sd an extra month of the all important hunting season funds.
it's a win win deal. final vore is on april 4th (i think).
