Default Crazy Looking Birds.

Can anyone tell me what type of bird these are. I live in sounthern Indiana and there was a flock in my yard this morning. They sounded like turkeys and were about the size of a small chicken. And are unlike anything I have ever seen. Any info would help. Sorry about the picture quality.

your goofy looking birds are guineas! eggs are good to eat, any feathers left in the yard are black with white polka dots. pretty birds with ugly heads! handy around the kennels though, as they eat ticks and other bugs.

My neigbor down the road is the only other house for miles all around. And I know he dosn't have any birds like that. How far do you suspect they would wonder. I figured they were domesticated birds because they wern't afraid of my cats even when the cats kept charging them. If they came back and I wanted to keep them how would I go about it. Can you raise them like free range ckickens?

Feed em some scratch or bird feed. they will also clean up your yard of bugs. They do wonder alot but if you manage to keep them around by feeding them.
They make the best watch dog you will ever have
