Hello all. The Iowa opener was a great success again in Eastern Iowa. Lot of birds. Weather conditions were not ideal, lot of wind and warm conditions.

Let's hear other success stories that are out there.

What part of Eastern Iowa I will be picking up a New GSP on friday in Marion just north of Cedar Rapids. I will hunt a few days in Iowa and the on to South Dakota.

Near Donahue which is about 50 minutes SE of Cedar Rapids. Lots of Pheasants. Lot of wild flushes but also quite a few nice points.

im in northwest iowa here... saw about 10 roosters in 2 hrs, but most flushed far, couldnt get out in the morning, so had to go in the afternoon, and most hunters had already moved through already

I can't wait I am leaving tommrrow night and driving to Cedar Rapids, I am picking up a new dog near there and I have three young dogs with me, I am going to hunt for fifteen days in Iowa,South Dakota,Kansas and the panhandle of Texas.
