Default What is the best shot# for doves??

What is the best shot# for dove 7.5 or 8 wat i use 7.5 but is 8 better or wat?

Depends on what your gun likes. I can put more pellets in a target with 7 1/2 than i can with 8. test it out and find what works best for you

I like 7 1/2 but that is just me. 8's are good and I know guys that shoot 9's.

7 and a half!!!That is the best!!!The 8's and 9' are not that dependable!!!

Depends on the hunting conditions. If I'm getting mostly longer shots, 40 yards or more, I'll use 7 1/2's. If I'm in a spot where the birds are coming in close, say, inside30 yards, I'll use 8's.

same as hunter said, i use remington 2 and 3/4 low brass,1 and 1/8 oz shot,7 and 1/2 on size,velocity is 1255,drams are 3 and 1/4..the code for this load is r12hd75,SHURSHOT HEAVY DOVE..

this is also my favorite load for GROUSE..
