Default Dove Season, MI??

Hey do any of you think they are going to make a dove season in Michigan?? I've always wanted to go out and hunt for doves, mainly because they are everywhere!! But I know they are did a "test-season" down in southwest Michigan. I'm just wondering what all of you think?

I don't know. Last I heard was that people were going nuts about the poor little things being shot. I think they should allow you guys to have a season. They are about the tastiest little critters I have ever had the pleasure of eating. Fry 'em up in butter with a bit of garlic. *slurp* yum yum.

Exactly! And not a stinkin' songbird like the anti's are trying to say.
Until you get a season, why not stroll down here to Indiana and shoot some?

You only have to draw for the first and second day. I was drawn for Mississenwa and there were guys there for the no shows and there were plenty of them. I went back out several days later and the doves were just as thick. The dove management fields are around the model plane field and Hogback Ridge.
