I like 7 1/2, 1 1/8 oz Federal, Remington, and AA's. I reload a lot and copy an AA's shell that hits hard with little recoil.

For squirrels i use any clay pigion loads(target loads), for phesant and grouse I use #5 fiocchi golden phesant and for rabbits I use #2 to #4 shot in what ever ammo is on sale.

for pheasants that are pretty jumpy...which they usually are in my area...i use 1 1/4 oz #5 nickleplated shot going about 1300fps...its also a great turkey load

$12 a box is unnessary. If I'm not reloading, the value box of Federals are fine. It's a good load and is about $4 a box. If you would like a bit better load, AA's and Remington Premiers are awesome. Save the hulls for me!!!
