Remington Shur Shot Heavy Dove ON SALE!!!

I just picked up about 10 cases of Remington Shur Shot Heavy Dove at Academy Sports and Outdoors for $2.99 a box or $29.90 a case. They have 20 and 12 gauge. I got the 1 1/8oz 7 1/2 loads for my 12 gauge, and 1oz 7 1/2 loads for my 20. These are the best shells I have ever show small upland birds with and HIGHLY reccomend them. I was a huge Heavy Shot fan for using atplaces in WA that have both upland and waterfowl potential at the same time. I used to shoot the stuff until my gun shop showed me the inside of a shell and the lousy shot quality He told stories of scratched barrels when a burr got outside the wad.

Cut open one ofthese shells and look at the poor quality of the shot. Mixed sizes of shot, shot with burrs and even shot that looked like a snowman. I think you'll be shocked at how crummy this stuff is. Not worth ruining a gun at any price.

I got the same that Academy and Gander was selling for $2.99 at Bass Pro for $1.99.

Actually you didn't. I spoke with the Remington rep at my bass pro fall hunting classic and he confirmed that the $1.99 box has aluminum caps and isn't as good a shell as the Shur Shot Heavy Dove.

Double checked this morning. The shells are 2 3/4 length, 1 1/8 shot, 7 1/2 shot size. They are the same box as the shells that my co-worker picked up from Academy and the same box as the three boxes I had left over from last year that I bought at Academy.

My apologies...if you got the same shells I got for $1.99 that is an awesome deal. At my bass pro they weren't selling the green/orange box but the other and the rep said people were lined up for an hour and they were sold out in 30 minutes.
