I was just wondering what should I expect to pay for say a 14 pheasant hunt with no guide and usingmy own dog. I was also wondering what would be the best load for knocking pheasants down effectively at this time of year without butchering them up too badly. Thanks
im not sure what part of the country your from, but around here in PA for that many birds your looking at around $300. id say anywhere from 250-350 wouldnt shock me.
Up here in Me the place I go charges $150 for a six hour hunt per gun
which includes 10 birds and 4 bonus or $12 per bird over your hunting package. Another one up here it would run me close to $400 hundred for the same thing.
The placeI hunt at charges $250 for a three hour 14 pheasant hunt and thats for up to 5 guns with the option to buy more time if needed so i guess i'm getting a pretty reasonable price.
snow16- i dont live to far from you, so yes id say your getting a good deal. i saw there is a place out near Williamsburg but i never been there have you?
Yep, the preserve by williamsburgis called I Diehl Hunts,I've hunted there 2 weeks ago and i'm going there this friday to hunt. Its kind of a small operation but lots of good land to hunt and the owners are very freindly and make it a really fun time. Here's the link to their web http://idiehlhunt.8m.com/
