Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Indiana Heavy Bearded Tom!!!

Shot this Tom opening morning. Birds weren't working very good but the 12 ga and decoy was. Proof is in the picture.

Blind called for 1/2 hour and rolled over on my side to nap a bit--- I mean to watch that side of the hill. The tom came peeking in and I had to rub the sleep out of my eyes to make sure I was not dreaming.
I mouth yelped and he turned and hit full strut. After dancing several donuts (of which I could only see his tail fan) he was within range. He got nervous about something and started to do the head bob. I let him eat a beak full of #5 Winnies from the SBE Steady Grip. Dead bird and mission accomplished.

11 1/4" beard
23 lbs
broken and worn down 1/2" spurs?
