Default seeing alot of solo turkeys

this is the first year ive hunted turkey in the fall and im loving it.ive only been able to go out twice and the second time killed a nice tom(22.5 lb.,10 1/2 beard and lil over inch spurs)my question is,im seeing alot of birds but they are always by thereselves,even when feeding in the fields,is this just typical spring habit on count of nesting and what not?

toms or hens? if hens id say nesitngf but toms probably llooking for some love
