Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Another season come and gone

But is sure was a fun one!! Yesterday I did that sad ritual of giving my turkey gun a thorough cleaning and putting it in the gun locker---and hanging up my vest for yet another year. Isn't it funny how attached you get to those things when you carry them doing something you love. Even though the season goes til Saturday---I won't be able to go.

But is was a good season. Three longbeards!! I turkey hunt 3 1/2 hours away from where I live---but it is certainly worth the drive for me---and I was able to hunt one day each week of the season. I saw turkeys every trip!!

So with withdrawal setting in---I wish those who have season remaining great luck! May the beards be long, the spurs sharp, and the gobbles loud and often!!!

I dont like that time of year either. I have until May 15th to hunt but I hope to fill my tag this weekend. I will still hunt with all my friends and family till they are done. Congrats on your great season! I'm glad to have some time left but I'm sure it will go quik. Have a great offseason, maybe you can do some fishing and fall hunting of deer and gamebird to get you by till next spring.
