I ain't no rocket surgeon...but this is ridiculous.
Went up in the hills yesterday morning and it was clear and cool. Dadgum wind was blowing constantly at 20-30 mph. Couldn't hear a thing. Coulda had a gobbler 20 yards away and wouldn't have been able to hear him. Ended up seeing 7 different hens, but no big bird.
This morning I get up to go out. Looks perfect. Sun is bright. There's not a cloud in the sky. I decide to check the temperature.
Call me crazy...but I know, in ARKANSAS, at the END of APRIL it is NOT supposed to be 34 DEGREES WITH A FROST ON THE GROUND!!!
It's ridiculous. Two days in a row, I have heard nothing as of turkeys gobbling. It's freezing cold out. Birds are henned up. I have to go to church later...and as of now, I'm going back to bed, after a cold and unsuccessful morning once again...of turkey hunting.
