Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default I ain't no rocket surgeon...but this is ridiculous.

Went up in the hills yesterday morning and it was clear and cool. Dadgum wind was blowing constantly at 20-30 mph. Couldn't hear a thing. Coulda had a gobbler 20 yards away and wouldn't have been able to hear him. Ended up seeing 7 different hens, but no big bird.

This morning I get up to go out. Looks perfect. Sun is bright. There's not a cloud in the sky. I decide to check the temperature.

Call me crazy...but I know, in ARKANSAS, at the END of APRIL it is NOT supposed to be 34 DEGREES WITH A FROST ON THE GROUND!!!

It's ridiculous. Two days in a row, I have heard nothing as of turkeys gobbling. It's freezing cold out. Birds are henned up. I have to go to church later...and as of now, I'm going back to bed, after a cold and unsuccessful morning once again...of turkey hunting.

we had hiiiiiiiiiiiiigh water levels as well as way colder than usual temps so it made for a crappy season but at least it was better than not going at all.
hopefully everything will work out for ya and you'll be posting pics of the monster gobbler you get....good luck and dress warm.

Same story here in Missouri. The last 2 weeks have been in the upper 70's to low 80's, Friday was perfect, then all of a sudden on Saturday......wow....it got cold and WINDY!! I didn't even bother going to the woods saturday or sunday. It got down to 33 here saturday night! I know, it's crazy....what the heck??[:@][:@]

I know how you feel. Was out in the Black Hills of SD Thursday and Friday nite and we camped out with 4 inches of snow on the ground. Thursday nite was probably 28 degrees and the highest temp I saw on Friday was 45.

Same here is MO, went out both days this weekend didn't hear a bird gobble, but 11:30 yesterday, I caught 2 coming out into a field and called them into about 50 yds. but that's as close as I got them and couldn't get a shot off.
