Default Pic's from weekend hunt in Wisc.

My son and Dave ( Dave is a farmer who lets us hunt his land ) both drew tags for last week. In Wisc. you get a 5 day permit. Mine aint till May. So I was camera man for the weekend. I did the calling too. Danny Jr. (My son) held out on a 40 yard bird and it suddenly left him without a shot, he also had one at 20 yards, too thick, never went into an opening. Dave got one the last Day an hour before the end of his season. Here are some pic's I took from the video footage.

10 seconds prior to CANNONIZATION.

Wanted to show you guys the over your boots kinda muck
we had to go through to see if a turkey resided on a secluded ridge on public land after we spooked all the private spots.

The Happy hunter.

Team pic. I am the cool looking dood on the right.

Thats the Farmer "Dave" that got the bird. Jr (My son) passed on two makeable, but iffy shots and ended up birdless. But he got a huge Tom last year and was happy to watch Dave shoot his.

Me and my son also have a May season in Wisconsin. His is the first week in May and mine is the second week in May.
Hope things start looking up by then. I have not seen a lot of strutting or many turkeys. I have even seen the hens seperate from the toms.
Maybe because of the cold weather? Not really sure but I hope it warms up before our season starts so they are out in the fields more.
Good luck during your season!!
