Best thing I can tell ya to do is, and it will look funny, but put the vest on sit down on the ground make sure the seat is comfortable, and that you can reach the pockets with out moving around. Check to see how easy it is to open them while you are sitting in a hunting position.

I Had A Wal-Mart one...Sucks..Pockets Ripped And Stuff..Looking At Getting A Primos One This Year. Only Thing Left Is The Seat.

For a turkey hunter on a tight budget I've seen some vests at Wal-Mart that are around $20. Might be the vest you're referring to dunno. Again, if you're wallets a little tight, can't be beat.
