Merriams in Nebraska

Hello people
I am going to Kansas in April. I want to hunt merriams in Nebraska while I am out in that part of the country. I dont want to go through an outfitter. Does anyone no of good places to go private or public?

Realtree.com has a link to their DNR site. THat should be able to help you. If you are looking for public ground, Nebraska has lots of it.

Chadron has some large tracks of management with a good number of birds in the area. The DNR office is just outside of the city limits 20-25 minutes and you can get maps and tags at the same place.Pine Ridge management was the place I put time into...BT
