I have to decided to give turkey hunting a try this fall and have a choke question for you experts. The gun I will be using is a 20 year old browning A-5 12 gauge. I went to look for my full choke recently and seemed to have misplaced it and will need a new one. Are there particular chokes I should be looking at or should I just go with a standard Browning replacement.
You'll definately get better patterns with an extended turkey choke than with the factory full. Most any of the current list of turkey chokes will probably work. I got an Undertaker choke tube for my 20 yr. old BPS and it outperforms even the factory extended turkey tube. I've also used a Tru-glo Strut Stopper with similar results. Look at this as an opportunity to upgrade your gun.
Gun upgrade, I wish. Still got 1.5 years of grad school left. I do have my eye on a few different overandunders when the time comes. Thanks for your suggestions, I'll be checking into them.
