I got my first turkey ever this fall in N.Y. , a decent tom with a 7 inch beard and 3/4 spurs, 14 lbs.
It was muzzle season and nothing much was happening, so I decided to try and take a bird.Seen alot of turkey activity in this one area, so I grabbed my scattergun and had at it. I sat for an hour and a half and 18 came out to me,gave a couple of calls to a curious tom and took him. I think I was more excited than when I got my first deer!!
