Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Need help on a new gun

I already own a benelli nova, and use it for turkey, but i also use it for so many other game. What i want is a dedicated turkey gun. All it will ever be used for is turkey hunting. I was thinking about the Winchester 1300 Super Short Turkey gun, or a Mossberg 835, but if you have another gun in mind tell me. Just looking for options.

I have both the benelli and 1300. I use my benelli just for tukey but camo so it best for that. My 1300 i use for all other wing game. but i have used by 1300 and I think its great for turkey hunting.

I just tried out a Remington 870 Express Ultra Mag--- Really impressed with the handling and available chokes for the gun-- worth looking into.

I have the 870 super mag and it is great. I always give props to the 835 when people ask about a turkey only gun. Both are good turkey guns.

Don't overlook the Ithaca mod. 37. Ask folks that shoot them and you'll get consistant praise for them.

I have the Ithica model 37, all camo, only shoots up to 3 inch, but it is an awsome gun.
Im thinking about getting the Remington model 870 Express Super Mag. in the spring.

If you slug hunt as well you may concider a combo. I got the 835 combo with a turkey barrel and a rifled barrel and I love it. Two great guns in one for a very reasonable price.
