Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default will hurt my turkey gun?

Im wanting to do a little shotgun hunting for deer this year and was wondering if i swapped chokes and and shot rifled slugs out of my turkey gun would it hurt the barrel and affect the patterning capabilities? any input will be greatly appreciated. also what would be the best choke for buckshot?

no it shouldn't hurt the gun whatsoever. I would start w/ a modified choke or improved and see how it goes.

I bought an extra fully rifled deer barrel for my 1300. This way here I just switch barrels for either turkey or deer, since the scope is mounted to the reciever of this gun. Although you have to re-sight in before each season when switching barrels. Works for me.

If your using the win. 1300. I use a sabot choke. I get good patterns with slugs. I can really get out to 100 to 130 yards with this gun.
