Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Well, I got one.........

I went out Saturday morning in a down pour for opening morning Fall Shotgun season here in Illinois. Got absolutely soaked head to toe. At 7:10, my buddy and I had about all we could take of the rain and wind, so we decided to leave. As I was starting to walk off, I heard a hen. We were set up about 20 yards from their roost and couldn't hear them! They started flying down all around us, probably 40-50 birds all together! Sat back down and waited, calling a little. I took a hen @ 31 yards. My buddy killed a hen as the flock busted up. I looked at my watch when we were leaving and it was 7:21! Horrible weather, but well worth it! It was not my first turkey or my biggest, but a hunt I won't soon forget.
