Default beautiful gobbler

Saw this on the Nitro site and thought it needed to be shared. This guy is one lucky hunter to take a beautiful gobbler in this buff color phase! I sure hope this hunter put this bird in a flying mount.

Here's what was posted with the photo on the Nitro site under their customer success,

Marc Stewart of South Lyon, MI killed this unique gobbler in Tennessee. He called this color phase a buff. What an awesome color, boy would he look good on the wall! (calm down, the bird - not the guy). According to TN DNR, this is pretty rare. He shot this bird with our Item #101L 3oz. of #4copper x #5copper x #7hevi-shot®. The bird had over a 9" beard and 1" spurs.

Congrats on a job well done!

I'd say it was an eastern seeing the area it was taken in. I've seen white one but never one in this color. I'd love to know if he mounted it and how the mount was done. I think a flying mount would really show off this awesome looking gobbler.

me want one! me want one!

Seriously, i've never seen that color I hunt a very very low pressure area and now that's got my hopes up for something spetacular of my own. If i ever got that lucky it would kinda suck though....I'd never forgive myself for not mounting it, but I'd probably be too tight to have it done

Guys,

That is a red or ertherthic (Sp?) color phase. I've seen it prior in the Turkey Call magazine from NWTF
