Thanks alot Paul for posting the picture.

BT my wife was trying to get me to smile when she took the picture

I set up close to this gobbler while he was on the roost. When the sun came up enough to see I could see him strutting on the limb. He stayed on the limb till about 6:30 gobbling every couple minutes. I seen him fly down and head off away from me. The next time he gobbled he was about 100 yards away. I was pretty sure were he was going so I made my move and set up. That's were knowing the woods you hunt in pays off!!! The next time I hear him gobble he is about 100 yards away. I made a few call to let him know were I was and he came right in I missed on the first shot he took to the air and I missed on the second shot and on the third I really bared down and folded him up. About 45 yards away and about 8 feet off the ground. Remington Hevi Shot did the justic to him

He was 21lbs 10in beard and 7/8in spurs... Nice 2 year old

Looks like having that nice semi as well as the Hevi shot paid off! Good job on staying with it!

My first turkey I shot at I missed and he ended up running, taking off and flying about 15-20 ft right over my head. I probably could have shot at him 10 more times (yes, I only had three shells in) but I just sat there mad at myself for missing and watched him go. After it was over I sat there mad at myself for not bearing down as you said, and dropping him before he left with a quick second shot.

Congrats Longbeard!
