Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Turkey with a bow

I want to try turkey hunting with a bow next year. I was just looking for some comments to the good and the bad. It might be tough to get a head or neck shot in, do you aim for the upper body or below the breast. Great forum BTW.

I'm not completely sure where to shoot them but it's somewhere in the body in order to hit the vitals. No head or neck shots should be taken as it's just too small of a target. If the bird was fanned out away from you, I think that you would aim for where the feathers come together. Using a blind is probably the smart way to start although I know some who go without. Pretty tough to draw on without some concealment unless they fan going away from you. I may try it next year as I have a blind already. Good luck!!

I would definetly go with the blind. As far as were to shoot. I pretty sure you want to aim for the wing buts and I also think right threw the thighs is a good shot... Also I would definetly use a good open on impact broadheads that are made for turkey hunting...

Definetly use a blind they work great ! as for where to shoot there are severel area's in which to shoot a Turkey ,behind the wing quarting away from you ,when the bird is struting right at the base of the tail you can drive the arrow up the rear,at the base of the neck just above the breast . Now if you buy a Gobbler guilitine you can take his head as well.
