is it unethical to bust up a flock in the spring season if the gobblers are flying down and shutting up and following the hens?

Not in my opinion.....Busting up a flock right before they go to roost at night is a very effective method of getting the gobbler to come to you in the morning........ TRY IT YOU'LL LIKE IT!!!!!

Only if sounding like a seductive hen calling in her lover & then blowing his brains out right before he gets his prize is unethical.... I don't think so!

..ive scattered several hens,out of sight of a gobbler before and then called the tom in with
ease...or i have cut them off going to the tom also..
