Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Tree Yelp from a Tom.

I snuck in the morning into the fly down zone and I could see a beard on the closest and largest bird in the tree. I was debating weather it was a bearded hen or a tom. Im thinking based on size it was a Tom. If never gobbled ( no bird did this morning) but it was doing a soft tree yelp. It was the only bird talking this morning. What it a Tom guys?

It flew down somewhere else. I think it was because I bumped one of the hens off the roost. Does that make sence?

Sure it could be a tom. It was most likely a tom because very few hens have beards. I've heard toms cluck and yelp like hens. Usually it is lower pitched however.
