I've only turkey hunted for 3 years, but I've always been under the impression that only hens would "put". Well, this morning I had a jake within about 30 yards and it was "putting" away. Was this a jake or could it have been a bearded hen?
Only if he's inside 40 feet and on the green!!!Couldn't resist Mr. King!!The guys are right on the money yes jakes can putt and often times add a purr to it too when they by sight realize somethings not right.
