Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Barrel Polishing Results

Hello I just thought I would share the results of my barrel polishing tests.
I used the method posted earlier by Bigsmooth35. Link to the post http://forum.hunting.net/asppg/tm.as...7&mpage=1&key=

The gun is a Mossberg 835 ulti mag with a XXX comp-n-choke. The ammo is Winchester High Vilocity 3 1/2" 2 oz #6 shot.

Picture 1. 20 yards before polishing 28 hits in the spine and brain.

Picture 3. 30 yards before polishing 23 hits in the spine and brain

Picture 4. 30 yards after polishing 23 hits in the spine and brain, It looks like I pulled that one to the left a bit.

I think that the 30 minutes that I spent polishing my barrel was well worth the effort. I was expecting better results at 20 yards. My gun used to put a golf ball size hole in the papper at 20 yards. But I was shooting 2 1/4 oz of 6 shot back then. I will have to try some of those 2 1/4 oz loads out again some day.
