Default My First Gobbler Ever!

I got the first Gobbler of my life this morning and the experience was AWESOME! I had been getting ready fo the NY spring season by spending alot of time getting tips from everyone on this site as well as watching the numerous hunting shows on the Outdoor Channel. I was fortunite enough to locate a gobbler immediately this morning. I also heard several others calling as well. I worked my way closer, got a good set up, made a few more calls and I saw him cross a stonewall approx 50 yards ahead of me. He then fanned his feathers and was looking all around. I made a few more calls and he began coming right to me. I thought he would be able to hear my heart pounding! When he got within 20 yards I took the shot and scored. What an experience!! hearing that bird reply to my calls and watching his response was incredible. I dont know why I never did any turkey hunting prevoiusly. I am now hooked. I had this bird by 6:30 am! Thanks to everyone who takes time to reply to posts from hunters trying this exciting type hunting for the first time.
In case anyones interested, I used a Knight & Hale Lonesome Hen call, Ithaca M-37, Winchester Super X 2 3/4 copper coated #4's. The bird was approx 20 lbs and had a 9 1/4" beard. I will post a picture as soon as I get them developed.
