Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Tagged Out in 3 States!

This has been one of the best seasons ever and one I will never forget. I've been fortunate enough to take 2 longbeards in OK, KS, and MO. It seems that the weather was just right and the seasons in each of these states opened at great times of gobbling activity. Please reply with your thoughts on the timing of season openers. And one question I've yet to have answered, HOW LONG DO TURKEYS LIVE? Five and older is the closest answer I can get. Not sure how long over five years.

Good Hunting,

Hunted with Mesquite Ridge Outfitters in Sayre, OK $500 for 3 day hunt with lodging, $100 food and beverage, $108 License.

Hunted public land in Kansas 2 days and pitched a tent at a campground. License $121, Food $50.

Hunted home state of MO on private land. License $17.

Total is about $900. We usually take deer, turkey, fish, etc.. to cook so food doesn't actually cost that much. The hunt in OK is awesome. We have hunted two consecutive years of 5 and 6 people that all tagged out on second day. Saw 200 turkeys first afternoon we arrived. 110 walked across a paved county road to roost. Unbelievable!

Mesquite Ridge Hunts in Sayre, OK is a little past Elk City on I-40. The Oklahoma season runs April 6 to May 6 and the last I knew, they had openings for the last week of season. Contact Kent Howell at home #
1-580-928-5991 evenings are your best chance, but you will probably need to leave a message, he is really busy during turkey season.

Good Luck to All
