Season opens Monday morning 1/2 hour before sunrise. Truck is loaded (except for the cooler) and I'm ready to go. I'll make a short 2 hour drive tomorrow (Sunday) to the private property that my son & I have exclusive rights to for the first week. We'll do some scouting around and try to roost some birds tomorrow evening. We'll be staying in the (deer) camp on the property hunting turkey in the morning and coyotes in the afternoon. Does it get any better than that? I've been told by the property owner that there's lots of turkeys again this year so my hopes are high. We've been successful the last 2 years so hopefully it will continue. However, if it doesn't it's still a great time to get into ther woods, spend some time with my son and do some long range planning for moose in October and deer in November. I'll let you all know how we make out.
