RE: Turkey hunting in Nebraska
Haven't been there in a few years but there is a public hunting area outside of Seward that we used to hunt in college. We always killed birds there. We went during the week and were always the only ones there. There are seveal public areas around Lincoln, best bet would be to call the Game and Fish or get on their website too see where these are. If you have family in the York area have them talk to some local farmers I would bet you could get permission on private ground around there. Have you ever hunted around there? The turkeys will be way different than the easterns in Mississippi, they talk a lot and you can call very aggressively and they usually respond. Usually the harder you hammer them the better they come. Pm or e mail me if you like.
