Turkey Hunting Whether it's spring or fall doesn't matter to this bunch. Great tips on calling, bustin flocks, using blinds and more.

Default Best ways to hunt in this condition?

My season starts Monday and the weather says thunderstorms, wind, and maybe rain. About mid 50's for temperature. Wind supposed to be like 20 mph. Doesnt sound like great weather to me, so what would be the best way to hunt in these conditions? Thanks

i would find a wooded bottom out of the wind, and don't sit under any rotten looking limbs.
Stay low out of the wind, call soft, clucks and purrs and scratch the leaves.

I have had the best luck hunting fields and pastures in the rain. Turkeys seem to like the security of being in an open field during the rain.
