sorry about all the edit time.on a long post I have to edit several times or it want work,were having a lot of fiber problems.
Friday the wife and I went to a new place to try.at first light he boomed off about 200 yards away.
we went to him and set up about 100 yards to the side next to a cut over,about two years old.I gave a tree yelp and he cut me off.[8D]
I waited till good fly down time.I gave a yelp and he doubled gobbled.the next gobble he was about 1/2 the distance.I gave one more and he went crazy.
just a few moments later I saw the black form coming,just off to the wifes left sholder.(just right).she was ready when he got into range.it only took just a few seconds to do thet.she gave him a load of Winchester copper plater # 6 shot.
He went down like a wet blanket.
He was a nice 18 lb. 8 1/2" beard with 7/8 spurs.
my wrist is doing better now,so the next one is mine [8D]
