Be in Shape .
Have loud Locators, and when you get a reply be on the bird asap, as they can move off fast.
The weather is a little better at this time , presure will be a little higher aswell.
GPS's work well for these type areas.
Good Walking boots is a good Plan.
Talk to the Locals and find what info they have on birds , these are some of the nices people in the US...
Good Luck and Take Pic's ! ...BT

The weather should be good but be prepared for snow. It isn't uncommon that time of year. Waterfproof boots and clothes and bring some warm stuff along. Barred owl calls work good for locating birds, we don't have any owls but the turkeys always talk balk to the hooters. Are you hunting private ground or National Forest?

Definitely get in shape. These birds cover some serious ground. Tend to be more vocal than easterns. Be prepared for any kind of weather at that tine of year. Snow(significant amounts) is not unusual that time of year.

Most of all have fun!
